THE 20th annual Junee Poker Run and Blues Night is shaping up to be the biggest yet, with more sponsors than ever before throwing their support behind the charity event.

We can reveal an unprecedented 62 sponsors have come on board for the event’s 20th anniversary on February 1, 2025—10 more than in 2024 and nearly 30 more than in 2023.

Junee Poker Run and Blues Night Publicity Officer, Roger Dietrich, expressed his gratitude for the community’s growing support, with the surge in sponsorship solidifying the Poker Run’s status as Junee’s premier fundraising event.

“We truly appreciate the backing we’re receiving, not just from the Junee community but also from businesses in neighbouring towns,” he said.

“Most importantly, we’re proud to support Junee Can Assist, which does incredible work helping people affected by cancer.”

A WORTHY CAUSE

The Junee Poker Run is one of the largest and longest-running cancer charity motorcycle rides in #Australia.

Each year, hundreds of bikers join forces to raise funds for Can Assist Junee, a local organization that provides essential support to local residents battling cancer.

The event has raised more than $70,000 for the charity over the past three years alone, a feat largely attributed to the growing number of sponsors.

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Reflecting on the event’s origins, the idea was conceived in 2004, dreamed up by a group of friends inspired by the television show “American Chopper.”

Just months later, on February 5, 2005, the inaugural ride took place, featuring 60 motorcycles and six bands that entertained attendees until the early hours of the morning.

Since then, the Junee Poker Run and Blues Night has grown exponentially, becoming a cornerstone of the community’s fundraising efforts.

A MILESTONE YEAR

The 20th annual Junee Poker Run and Blues night promises to be the biggest and best yet, with the committee working tirelessly to ensure a memorable event.

Scheduled for Saturday February 1, 2025, motorcyclists, music lovers, and supporters alike can look forward to a day of camaraderie, entertainment, and purpose—all in the name of a great cause.
