Crime scene declared after pre-dawn assault at Junee home

A CRIME SCENE was declared in Junee this morning after a man was allegedly beaten inside a home during a brutal pre-dawn assault.
A NSW Police spokesperson told The Junee Bulletin that emergency services were called to the home in Ducker Street about 4:30am.
“Officers attached to Riverina Police District attended and were told a 41-year-old man had allegedly been assaulted at the location,” a NSW Police spokesperson said in a statement.
“He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in a stable condition.”
The Junee Bulletin understands the man sustained multiple injuries during the alleged assault, including several suspected broken ribs and a fractured eye socket.
A crime scene was declared at the Junee home and was examined by forensic police on Wednesday morning.
No arrests had been made or charges laid at the time of publishing.
Police say investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
