Accused drug dealers netted in Wagga raids

THREE alleged drug-dealers have been arrested and charged with 78 offences following an ongoing police operation around Wagga Wagga.

Officers from the Southern Region Enforcement Squad raided three homes at Ashmont, Mount Austin and Oura on Wednesday, February 27.

They were assisted by officers from the Southern Operations Group, Riverina Police District and the NSW Dog Unit.

During the operation, police seized a quantity of methylamphetamine, GHB, and cannabis, along with a stash of cash, and expandable baton, and a laser pointer.

Two men, aged 43 and 38, were arrested and charged with a combined 38 drug offences, including supplying drugs on an ongoing basis, as well as resisting police.

The older man was also charged with participating in a criminal group, breaching a domestic violence order, and two counts of assaulting police.

Meantime, a 34-year-old woman arrested at a home in Mount Austin was charged with 40 drug offences, and knowingly directing a criminal group.

All three were refused bail and due to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court today, Thursday February 27.
