Guns, gel blasters, ‘zombie’ knives and drugs seized in Tumut raid

A MAN has been charged with multiple firearm, weapon, and drug offences following a police raid at a home in Tumut.
Officers executed a search warrant at a property in Gadara Place on Tuesday morning, June 3, where they allegedly uncovered a cache of prohibited weapons.
Among the items seized were a shortened firearm, three rifles with ammunition, more than a dozen gel blaster rifles and pistols, and seven prohibited knives — including three so-called ‘zombie’ knives.

Police also allegedly located cannabis seeds and capsules believed to contain MDMA.
A 44-year-old man later attended Tumut Police Station, where he was arrested and charged with 16 offences, including multiple counts of possessing unauthorised and unregistered firearms.
He also faces charges of possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit, possessing a defaced firearm, and possessing a prohibited drug.
The man was refused bail and was due to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, June 4.
