A TWO-CAR crash disrupted the busy school drop-off in Junee this morning, blocking a key intersection near Junee High School.

The collision occurred shortly after 8.30am at the intersection of Commins, Waratah and Denison Streets — around 250 metres from the school.

A silver Ford Falcon ute and a blue SUV, both displaying P-plates, sustained front-end damage in the crash.

The Ford, which was bearing red P-plates, was rendered immobile and came to rest in the middle of the intersection with visible damage to its front right wheel, guard, and bonnet.

The SUV, displaying green P-plates, was parked a short distance away on Waratah Street, showing more extensive damage across its front.

The intersection — which is controlled by a give-way sign — remained partially blocked for more than 40 minutes.

Fire and Rescue NSW and local police responded to the scene and assisted with traffic control until a tow truck from Wagga removed the Ford from the roadway.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
