Revealed: Grand opening of Junee’s new Asian fusion hotspot

ONE of Junee’s most iconic landmarks is roaring back to life, and it’s bringing with it a sizzling new dining experience that locals have been hanging out for.

After months of anticipation, The Loftus is officially reopening this Tuesday, October 28, as Junee’s newest Asian fusion restaurant, blending authentic Thai and Chinese flavours inside the beautifully restored 1890s venue at 6 Humphrys Street.

The grand opening marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the heritage-listed site, and for local food lovers, it’s a long-awaited cause for celebration.

With $18 lunch specials, dine-in and takeaway options, and a menu with over 130 dishes, the new restaurant is promising to deliver a flavour-packed punch to Junee’s dining scene.

A NEW ERA OF FLAVOUR AT THE LOFTUS

Originally built in the late 1800s, The Loftus has long stood as one of Junee’s architectural gems — most recently operating as a function and events space under the stewardship of local owners Annette and Rob Pollard, who lovingly restored the building over the past decade.

In July, The Junee Bulletin reported that the site would soon reopen as an Asian Thai-Chinese fusion restaurant, leased by new operators with a strong culinary pedigree — already managing two successful Chinese restaurants elsewhere.

That culinary know-how, combined with a passion for Thai cuisine, is now set to be plated up in the heart of Junee, right inside The Loftus’ stylish dining rooms.
