Man resuscitated after cardiac arrest at Junee sports field
A MAN has been resuscitated after suffering a cardiac arrest while playing an afternoon game of footy in Junee.
Emergency services were called to the medical emergency at Loftus Oval shortly after 5pm on Thursday, September 17.
The incident sparked a major response, with NSW Ambulance paramedics, Fire and Rescue NSW, VRA Rescue NSW and police rushing to the sporting grounds.

The Junee Bulletin understands the man, believed to be aged in his 50s, had been playing an informal game of rugby league with a group of people when he collapsed.
It’s understood CPR was administered before paramedics arrived, with emergency responders continuing treatment at the scene.
Footage uploaded to social media showed a team of emergency personnel working on the patient on the grass, while a group of bystanders watched on.

It is understood the man regained a pulse following resuscitation efforts at the scene.
After being treated at the oval, he was transported by ambulance to Wagga Base Hospital shortly before 6.30pm.
His condition was not known.
