Junee schools don denim in support of Jeans for Genes Day
SO much denim, and so much generosity!
Schools across the Junee Shire have been proudly donning denim in support of Jeans for Genes Day — raising vital funds for the Children’s Medical Research Institute, which works to find treatments and cures for genetic diseases affecting Aussie kids.
St. Joseph’s Primary School, Junee kicked off the efforts on Thursday, raising $317.03 in gold coin donations — and thanks to a double donation day initiative, that total is effectively doubled to $634.06.

Junee Preschool also held their fundraiser yesterday, while Junee High School is getting involved today. Illabo Public School and St Brendan’s at Ganmain are also showing their support.
Junee mum Bianca Brady, whose son Archer was one of the national faces of the 2023 campaign, praised the town’s efforts.
“The Junee community has been an amazing support of this campaign,” she said.
