Missing man last seen in Cootamundra located

UPDATE 5PM: A MAN reported missing from Cootamundra after vanishing over the Easter long weekend has been located.

Police issued an urgent public appeal to help find the 40-year-old man on Wednesday, April, 8, after he hadn’t been seen or heard from since Saturday night.

1:00 PM | POLICE are appealing for help to find a man missing from the Riverina, as fears grow for his welfare after he vanished over the Easter long weekend.

The 40-year-old man [identity removed] was last seen in Cootamundra about 9pm on Saturday, April 4, and has not been seen or heard from since.

As concerns deepened and efforts to contact him failed, officers attached to Riverina Police District were notified and immediately began inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police say both investigators and the man’s family are increasingly concerned for his wellbeing, with his disappearance described as being out of character.

The man is described as being of Asian appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium build, with short black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing black slippers, navy-blue tracksuit pants and a blue sweatshirt.

Police believe he may be travelling in a white Mitsubishi Outlander fitted with roof racks.

Authorities are now urging anyone who has seen the man or the vehicle to come forward.
