Man charged after explosives seized from Riverina property
A MAN has been charged after after police allegedly uncovered a stash of explosives and ammunition during a raid on a Riverina property.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District executed a search warrant at a home on Baird Street, Culcairn, about 9.45am on Thursday.
Police allege they discovered and seized 300 blast cap detonators along with 27 rounds of ammunition of varying calibres during the search.

A 62-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Albury Police Station where he was charged with handling explosives without an authorised licence, possessing ammunition without holding a licence, and breaching bail.
The man was refused police bail and is due to appear before a bail court on Friday, August 7.
