Crime Scene: Man fighting for life after Riverina stabbing

A MAN is fighting for life in hospital after being stabbed in the neck in the Riverina overnight.

Emergency services were called to reports of an injured man on Calimo Street in North Albury about 1am on Sunday, September 27.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended and located a 28-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his neck.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him by road to hospital in a critical condition.

A crime scene was established as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
