Teen driver clocked at 154km/h on rural road
A TEENAGE P-plater has been stripped of his licence after he was allegedly clocked travelling at more than 150km/h along a rural road in the Riverina.
Police say officers attached to Narrandera Highway Patrol observed a blue Audi A3 travelling at high speed north along Back Yanco Road at Yanco about 1.16pm on Tuesday, May 26.
The vehicle was allegedly detected travelling at 154km/h in a signposted 80km/h zone.

Police stopped the car a short distance away, where the driver was identified as a 19-year-old Leeton man holding a Class C P1 provisional licence.
He was issued with an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h as a P1 driver, carrying a $3054 fine and six demerit points.
His licence was also suspended for six months.
Because the young driver was also the owner of the vehicle, police confiscated the Audi’s number plates for three months.
