Junee home raided in major Riverina drug operation
A MAJOR police operation targeting the supply of illicit drugs across the Riverina has swept through Junee and Wagga, with three men arrested and nearly 200 grams of cocaine seized.
Police struck simultaneously at homes in Junee and Tolland about 9am on Wednesday as part of Strike Force Frontek, an investigation launched by the Regional Enforcement Squad in July into the alleged supply of prohibited drugs across the region.
Officers from the Regional Enforcement Squad, Riverina Police District and Southern Operations Support Group descended on properties in Gwynne Place, Junee, and Bruce Street, Tolland, executing search warrants at the same time.
A third raid followed at a Truscott Drive home in Ashmont about two hours later.
At the Junee property, officers allegedly seized 44 grams of cocaine, 11 grams of methylamphetamine, 0.64 grams of MDMA and electronic devices.
A 34-year-old man was arrested at the Gwynne Place home and taken to Junee Police Station where he was charged with three counts of possessing a prohibited drug and one count of supplying a prohibited drug.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear before Wagga Local Court on Friday, September 11.

Meanwhile, officers searching the Bruce Street property at Tolland allegedly uncovered 12.5 grams of cocaine, $300 cash and electronic devices.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with supplying a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear before a bail court on Thursday, September 10.
The operation continued about 11am when police executed another search warrant at a Truscott Drive property in Ashmont.
Police allegedly found 130 grams of cocaine, four grams of methylamphetamine, 21 grams of cannabis and $4575 in cash during the search.
Three vials of testosterone and 45 capsules of anastrozole were also allegedly seized.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug, dealing with property suspected of being the proceeds of crime and possessing a prescribed restricted substance.
He was also refused bail to appear before a bail court on Thursday.
Investigations under the strike force are continuing.
