JUNEE’S soccer talent will be on full display this Friday night, with the Jaguars set to contest both the men’s 3rd and 4th grade grand finals in Wagga’s local competition — a rare and remarkable achievement for the club.

In 3rd Grade, the Jaguars will face Henwood Park at 5.30pm in the Blake Trophy decider at Geohex Park.

Junee topped the nine-team ladder with 13 wins from 15 games, finishing two clear of Henwood Park, and will now look to convert that dominance into silverware.

If successful, it will mark the club’s first 3rd Grade title in nearly a decade, having last claimed a grand final victory in 2016.

Later in the evening, a truly historic showdown awaits in the 4th Grade grand final at 7.30pm — with Junee Blue taking on Junee Yellow for the Nankivell Cup in what will be the first all-Junee decider ever played in the Wagga competition.

It comes as the Jaguars break new ground by fielding two 4th Grade teams for the first time, both of which have stormed through a highly competitive 12-team division to claim the top two spots.

Junee Blue enters the final undefeated, with 16 straight wins, the Minor Premiership, and a penalty shootout win over Yellow in the opening round of finals already under their belt.

Junee Yellow, the reigning champions after winning the cup in 2024, have again proved their class — notching 11 wins, three losses and two draws to secure their grand final berth.

The feat of having both 4th Grade sides reach the final — combined with the 3rd Grade team chasing its first title since 2016 — marks a watershed moment for Junee Football Club, and a standout chapter in the town’s sporting story.

Strong local support is expected to fill the sidelines as the Jaguars chase championship glory in both grades, with supporters encouraged to make the trip to Geohex Park to help cheer the boys home.
