Endoscope camera seized from alleged sex offender’s home
AN allege child sex offender accused of assaulting two children aged 12 and 13 has been arrested following a police operation in Wagga.
The 33-year-old man was detained as detectives from the NSW Police Force’s Child Abuse Squad swooped on a home in the city about 9am on Friday, April 24.
Officers executed a search warrant at the address, where they allegedly seized several items including an endoscope camera, CCTV equipment and multiple mobile phones, all of which will now undergo forensic examination.
The operation follows a five month investigation into allegations of indecent assault involving two children, aged just 12 and 13.
Police say they were first alerted in November 2025, and allege the offences occurred over a two-year period between 2023 and 2025.
The 33-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Wagga Police Station where he was charged with a string of serious offences.
Among them are three counts of intentionally committing a sexual act with a child aged between 10 and 16, and two counts of sexually touching a child aged between 10 and 16, all of which police will allege were domestic violence-related.
He was also charged with one aggravated count of filming a person engaged in a private act without consent.
The man was released on strict conditional bail and is due to face Wagga Local Court on Tuesday, June 30.
Friday’s operation comes just weeks after a 35-year-old man accused of raping a child was arrested at a home in Mount Austin.
He was taken to Wagga Police Station and charged with two counts of having sexual intercourse with a child aged between 10 and 14, and intentionally sexually touching a child aged between 10 and 16.
