Driver charged over horror Harefield crash
A DRIVER has been charged over a horror rollover near Junee that left three men seriously injured and sparked a massive emergency response late last year.
The crash unfolded on Byrnes Road at Harefield shortly before 3pm on Monday, November 3, 2025, when an older-model white Toyota sedan carrying three men left the 100km/h road and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its roof.
The men were reportedly travelling to Wagga just minutes after finishing their shift at the Junee abattoirs when the crash occurred.
Emergency services arrived to find all three occupants severely injured.

The other two men were taken by road ambulance to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital before later being flown to Sydney for specialist treatment.
The incident triggered a major response involving NSW Ambulance, NSW Police, the NSW Rural Fire Service, the Junee Volunteer Rescue Association and a rescue helicopter, which landed on the roadway.
Police established a crime scene, while the Crash Investigation Unit carried out an extensive examination of the scene.
Now, more than five months on, police have confirmed the 41-year-old driver will face court.
In an update issued on Monday, April 20, 2026, a NSW Police spokesperson said the man had been issued a Court Attendance Notice, charged with negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and causing bodily harm by misconduct in charge of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear before Wagga Wagga Local Court on June 24.
