‘Bright light’: Tributes pour in for Temora mother killed in highway crash
4:00 PM | THE woman killed in Monday morning’s crash on the Olympic Highway near Junee has been identified as Temora mother Emma-jade Sing.
Ms Sing died when the vehicle she was driving left the highway and struck a tree at Yathella, near Baylis Lane, shortly before 7.20am on June, 8.
She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
As news of her passing spread throughout the Riverina, family, friends and community members took to social media to share tributes and condolences, remembering Ms Sing as a caring, kind-hearted woman devoted to her children.
Many described her as a “bright light” whose warmth, generosity and compassion touched the lives of those around her.
“She was a lovely person and had a great soul,” one tribute read. “Would’ve helped anyone in need. A very tragic loss.”
“She was the best, kind-hearted and sweet,” another wrote. “She loved her kids so dearly. She will be sadly missed but always remembered.”
The Junee Bulletin extends its sincere condolences to Ms Sing’s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
The Olympic Highway was closed in both directions for more than five hours following Monday morning’s crash.

2:45 PM | ALL lanes of the Olympic Highway have now reopened following this morning’s fatal crash at Yathella.
The highway remained closed for more than five hours following the crash, with motorists diverted through Junee while emergency services and crash investigators worked at the scene.
The road was partially reopened shortly before 1pm under stop/slow traffic conditions, allowing vehicles to pass the scene in one direction at a time.
Those restrictions have since been lifted, with traffic now flowing under normal conditions.
Police investigations into the crash, which claimed the life of a Riverina woman, remain ongoing.
1:00 PM | THE Olympic Highway between Junee and Wagga has reopened more than five hours after a woman was killed in a crash on the major arterial on Monday morning.
The highway was closed after an SUV left the roadway at Yathella and struck a tree shortly before 7.30am.
Emergency services attended the scene, where the female driver was found deceased.
A crime scene was established and the highway was closed between Talbingo Lane and Bomen Road while investigations were carried out.
Traffic was diverted around the crash scene via Junee, with motorists redirected off the highway via Bomen Road and Old Junee Road.
The highway has since reopened and is now operating under alternating stop/slow traffic conditions, allowing vehicles to pass the scene in one direction at a time.

11:20 AM | THE Olympic Highway remains closed between Junee and Wagga following a fatal crash that claimed the life of a woman on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to Yathella, near Baylis Lane, shortly before 7.20am after reports an SUV had left the highway and collided with a tree.
Police say the female driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been established and officers from the Riverina Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Olympic Highway remains closed in both directions between the Jail Brake Inn Cafe at Talbingo Lane and Bomen Road at Bomen, with all traffic being diverted via Byrnes Road through Junee.
