A WOMAN has been arrested, charged and refused bail after police allegedly uncovered a stash of the destructive drug ‘ice’ hidden inside a nappy during a late-night drug bust in Temora.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District stopped two vehicles on Aurora Street about 11.30pm on Friday as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged drug supply in the area.

During a search, police allegedly found 93 grams of methylamphetamine wrapped inside a nappy and concealed in the footwell of one of the vehicles.

Two women, aged 23 and 27, and a 32-year-old man were arrested and taken to Temora Police Station.

Following inquiries, the 27-year-old woman was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug, possessing a prescribed restricted substance and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

Police will allege the quantity of methylamphetamine seized falls within the indictable range for drug supply offences.

The woman was refused bail and due to appear before a bail court on Saturday.

The 23-year-old woman and 32-year-old man were released pending further police inquiries.

Police say the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to target the supply and distribution of illicit drugs across the region.
