‘Large amount of cash’ stolen during break-in at Junee pub
A JUNEE pub is appealing for information from the public after a large amount of cash was stolen during a brazen early-morning break-in.
The burglary occurred about 4.15am on Sunday, June 21, at the Red Cow Hotel, where CCTV captured a person pacing along the footpath outside the venue moments before power was cut, killing the cameras.
In an effort to identify the person, hotel management has released security footage and is appealing for assistance from the community.
The person (pictured) is seen wearing tracksuit pants, a hooded jumper, a cap and joggers.

Licensee James Tracey told The Junee Bulletin a significant amount of cash was taken during the incident.
“There is no inside footage. The person captured on the security cameras turns the power off, which kills my cameras,” he said.
Mr Tracey hopes nearby security footage may help establish the movements of the alleged offender or identify any vehicle linked to the break-in.
“We’re reaching out for any homes or businesses with cameras showing the road to check for any vehicles or a person between 1am and 5am.”
