Crime scene declared after teen killed in overnight crash

A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a horror single-vehicle crash in the Riverina.

Emergency services were called to the confronting scene on Mary Gilmore Way at Ariah Park, 30km west of Temora, about 8.30pm on Sunday, August 9.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended alongside NSW Ambulance paramedics and local RFS crews, where they found a utility had left the road and crashed into a tree.

Despite the swift emergency response, police confirmed the young driver and sole occupant of the ute was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing, with a crime scene established and examined by specialist police.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
